MFSA Registered More than 2,000 Companies in Nine Months

Malta Financial Services Authority stated that in the first nine months of the year over 2,000 new companies were registered and it is expected that the number of companies registered till the end of the year will surpass that of the past. Presently the Registry of Companies has more than 40,000 companies registered in Malta.
During the nine month period MFSA issued 62 licenses to new operators. This included thirty-four investment funds, six insurance companies and ten trustees.
