New Chairman & Board for the Malta Maritime Authority

The Ministry of Transport and Communications has appointed Mr. Mark Portelli as the new Chairman of the Malta Maritime Authority. Mr. Portelli has also been re-appointed chairman of the Malta Freeport Corporation.
Mr. Portelli is experienced in the local maritime industry. He served as a director and chairman of the Malta Freeport Terminals Ltd., as well as chairman of the Grand Harbour Regeneration Corporation plc from the date of inception of the company in 2007.
The other members of the Board of Directors of the Malta Maritime Authority are: Mr. Charles Grech (Deputy Chairman), Mr. Alfred Aquilina, Mr. Joe Degabriele, Mr. Andrew Sacco, Mr. Stephen Muscat, Ms Francesca Mamo and Ms Luisa Bonello.
The Ministry has also appointed Mr. Charles Grech as Deputy Chairman and Mr. Alfred Aquilina as a Director of the Malta Freeport Corporation.
The Chairman and Directors of GM International Services Ltd. would like to congratulate the new Chairman and Board members on their appointment and wish them every success in the their new roles at the Malta Maritime Authority.
