A sailor has been airlifted to Mater Dei Hospital - Malta

A sailor onboard cargo vessel Auriga Leader, registered in Singapore, has been airlifted to Malta’s Mater Dei Hospital after he was suffering from chest pains. The captain of the vessel asked for assistance at about 11am while the vessel was sailing off Gozo’s western coast. The Armed Forces of Malta deployed a rescue helicopter immediately and the sailor is now receiving treatment in Malta.
